sit.stay.fetch! Dog Training & Behavior
Founded in 2010 by Jessica Hein, CCPDT Certified Professional Dog Trainer and IAABC Certified Dog Behavior Consultant, we provide in-home training and behavior consulting using positive reinforcement training methods and today's most up-and-coming techniques.
Through the process of rewarding, shaping, cueing, capturing, and relevance coaching, we teach the dog the benefits of both compliance and making good choices. You will learn the communication patterns, training techniques and routines necessary to develop a healthy, happy relationship with your dog for years to come!
As a Colorado small business, we take time to engage with each and every one of our clients. We are not driven by making profits; we want to educate and provide support to our clients to ensure they can enjoy their dog, every step of the way.
We take a holistic approach to training and improving the lifestyle of dogs. We train dogs (and their people), but we also discuss canine communication, behavior, socialization, healthy nutritional choices, routine healthcare, and more. We want to ensure behavioral, physical & emotional wellness in our beloved dogs.

Jessica is a Colorado native and animal lover. Even as a child, it was apparent she had deep love for all creatures, and raised a myriad of pet animals from frogs and lizards to rabbits, cats, birds and of course, dogs! She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado at Denver, and began training dogs professionally in 2007. In 2010, she formed Sit.Stay.Fetch! and the company has since flourished due to client referrals. Jessica is a CCPDT Certified Professional Dog Trainer, IAABC Certified Dog Behavioral Consultant, and APDT Professional Member. She is experienced in developing training and behavioral therapy plans for all dog breed-types and temperaments, and specializes in helping families with their dog's behavioral issues. When she's not working with dogs, she is likely playing music or enjoying the outdoors with her family, including her own two dogs, Kai & Coba.
After graduating with a BA in International Relations from the University of Puget Sound, Abi became a full-time dog walker in Seattle. In spite of the many rainy days, Abi realized she had found her passion and knew she wanted to become a dog trainer. To expand her knowledge of dog behavior and learn the most effective and humane training methods, Abi attended the Northwest School of Canine Studies, graduated the program as valedictorian, and holds a Certificate in Canine Studies. Abi also completed the University of Washington's Applied Animal Behavior program and earned her UW-AAB Certification. Abi has a passion for helping humans and dogs develop loving, tranquil, and fun relationships through training.
